1) A great gift - I was looking for a gift with a high value, and wanted to save a few bucks.
I like to be generous but the economy is what it is so it's important to be creative.I plan to buy these as employee gifts so I bought one to test it myself first.
Wow.
The card came in less than a week via certified mail. Since I live in CT and the seller is in NV that's very fast.
Redemption was easy, l just entered card number and address etc.
I opened three browser windows to compare:

Actual hotel price from hotel website
I'm not sure if it mattered what order I did the search in, I didn't take the time to test.
The Hotel Advantage price was the best in all three hotels I compared, from Seattle to Las Vegas to Mexico.
What's important to note is that the savings were worth more than the purchase price of the card all three times.
One time they weren't quite $50 (the value of the card) cheaper than one of the other points of purchase.
This Hotel card was still the cheapest of the 3 however, and still saved more than I paid for it.
I also noticed that no 2 star hotel options were listed, but it's amazing how many really nice hotels there are!
If you want to stay at the Red Roof, which is just fine, it's a decent place to stay but this card doesn't seem to list all of those level places. Who would give a 2 star hotel discount as a gift? Not me!
If you're looking to buy a big coupon to the HoJo, keep looking.
If you're looking for good return on investment on a generous gift to a great destination, this is it.
